As teachers, we often face challenges with disinterested students. Inquiry can be a powerful motivator for disenfranchised students. Inquiry offers choice and control in designing an experiment. The students in this clip were reluctant to participate in the process initially. Previously, you saw how the teacher asked these two students several questions and then asked them to go back and make more observations. Rather than let them give up, she continually pushed them to do more. Watch how these two students have become invested in their inquiry.
