Thoughtfully designed teacher induction programs can simultaneously develop beginning and veteran teacher-mentors alike. This article discusses:
- What an induction program looks like that develops both beginner and mentor teachers.
- What do mentors learn and practice that leads to long-term teacher retentions rates, improved teacher quality and higher student achievement.
- What does this "new breed" of teacher leader look like and how are they making a difference.
