An NTC Policy Brief first published in June, 2009, this article discusses the results of a Policy Roundtable on Pre-service/Induction Linkages, and

furthers the need for a national discussion on teacher effectiveness, and the need to rethink traditional notions about and approaches to teacher development and teacher preparation. Recommendations for key policy insights for consideration are discussed.
