The symposium presents the opportunity to meet new colleagues, refresh existing relationships and learn from each other.
These opportunities to network offers time to reflect on the impact of what we are learning and the connections we are making. Please record a short entry on the impact of Symposium to you. It may be a new idea, a new perspective, a story you want to preserve, a new collegial relationship or renewing an old one.
What are you walking away with from the Symposium?

The key is the role of principal, with regular classroom observations with feedback, and providing a support structure, such as a master mentor to serve a specific group of teachers.
Policy requires a champion in the legislature, and the bringing together of all stakeholders, including unions, parents, teachers, legislators, and I bet even children, to build relationships, to plan and implement, with regular review of status (a learning community!). Start small, and gain trust with relationships and activities toward a common goal.
Change is hard. Sustainable change is even harder in our educational cultural settings.
